Apple is preparing to relaunch Amazon's challenge on the digital book market with a completely new version of its iBooks app for iPhone and iPad. The new app, according to rumors, would be renamed "Books" and would arrive in the coming months.

The move would be for the Cupertino colossus an attempt to revive the competition on e-books with the giant Amazon that has a good slice of the market thanks to its Kindle and tablet Fire. Apple's race suffered a setback in 2016 when the US Supreme Court confirmed for the company led by Tim Cook the sentence to pay 450 million dollars for having agreed with five large, competitive editorial groups on the prices of ebooks.
